Description:
Anders’ Army (the Polish Armed Forces in the East) was created in the Soviet Union in 1941-42. The Soviet authorities agreed to allow the families of the soldiers and certain groups among the civilian population, such as children, to be evacuated together with the soldiers. Approximately 37,500 civilians accompanied the army. This is a partial list found in the Central Zionist Archives.
