Description:
At the beginning of World War One, the Turks expelled many Jewish residents from Palestine (Eretz Israel). For a few months starting in December 1914 the USS Tennessee evacuated these people to Alexandria. The lists in this project cover the period from December 1914 through June 1915 and were found in the US National Archives in Washington.
